I  am mixed media textile artist.

Having loved “making” as a child, to teaching myself to draw and paint. I started my career as a teacher specializing in art and design. Later, I ran adult craft classes, and did a year course in graphic design.  For the last 10 years I have running my own design, laser cut & print business.

​

In 2020 I started learning about mixed media textile art by doing online courses with Textile Art Stitch Club and FibreArts Take Two. I realized that this filled all the spaces in my heart and provided many solutions to my art.  I loved it and decided to become an Artist full time.

I use my art resources, life experiences and laser cutting & printing machines available to create images of people that I see in my daily life in South Africa or while traveling with my husband in Africa.

​

I am the Chair of TAGG (Textile Art Group of Gauteng) and we have been part of 3 exhibitions in JHB, Pretoria and PE in 2024 as a group and a member of Fibreworks South Africa. I have had my work showcased in an Australian online magazine for Textile art and was an runner up for the “Mr CrossStitch” online competition in 2023.
